I've spent over a decade building and scaling innovative products at Amazon across multiple markets. While Amazon is big, I've always found and worked on 0-to-1 opportunities. I enjoy working on consumer products and obsessing about user experience.

I was part of Amazon's early expansion into India and Australia, and had the opportunity to launch and lead Amazon Prime. More recently I served as the technical advisor to the SVP of Worldwide Prime. In 2022 I moved over to Healthcare and led the product and technology integration of One Medical with Amazon.

I currently lead product and technology teams working on One Medical Consumer acquisition and growth, and healthcare integrated with Amazon Prime. We own the One Medical app, and are focused on improving customer and member experiences.

Much of my free time is reserved for my daughter, but whatever's left goes into learning to code and build with AI. I started with Cursor/Windsurf but quickly moved to Claude Code, then dove into agentic backends with Langchain, RAG systems (first with AWS databases, then vector search for speed and scale), fine-tuning small language models for specialized use cases, and custom-tuning a Gemini model on Google Cloud. Currently I'm playing with transcription (Deepgram Nova3) and voice (Eleven Labs and Whisper). You can see some of my projects on www.avirumapps.com.
